Louisville is a diverse, inclusive, prosperous and progressive community that values diversity.
Mission
Louisville Metro Government values a community where immigrants and refugees experience stable family life and family self-sufficiency.

To accomplish the above, Louisville Metro Government has an Immigrant Human Services Task Force with the following Goal:


Goal
Human Service agencies, organizations and personnel who work with immigrants and refugees will be a resource to each other in a way that leads to action.

Objectives
Share information through any means available
  • Electronic Calendar
  • Section in Communiqué
  • List serve or e-mail
Provide Training
  • Brown Bag
  • Training Institute
  • Provide information through Metro Government and other Distribution Lists
Develop Resources
  • Write Grants
  • Share data
  • Dedicate staff and other in-kind resources
  • Collaborate with other agencies doing like work.

  1. Advisory to the Mayor
  2. Chaired by a Leader from within the Community
  3. Staffed by the Office for International Affairs and the Department for Human Services

Includes representatives of agencies or organizations that provide services to immigrants and refugees geared toward the goals of self sufficiency and family stability.

Individuals who are from different countries and cultures, either representing the above agencies/organizations or as private citizens with expertise or special interest in Human Service issues.
